Santa Hat Knitting Pattern
Santa Hat Knitting Pattern is an easy knit and purl project that brings back the Christmas mornings you remember. It is a classic long red Santa hat with a soft fluffy white brim and a plump pompom that swings at the tip. Knit in cheerful Santa Claus red with a snowy white trim, it is worked flat in one piece and seamed up the back, so the join hides away in the folds. The garter stitch brim, smooth stockinette crown, and long tapering tail give it that warm Father Christmas shape, ready for the tree, the new year table, and every festive photo of the season.
How the Santa Hat Knitting Pattern Comes Together
Worked flat in one piece from the brim up, this Santa Hat Knitting Pattern needs only knit and purl stitches. You cast on holding two strands together, work a garter stitch brim for the fluffy white trim, then switch to red and knit the body in smooth stockinette. The crown is shaped with simple decreases that draw the hat to a point, and a long tail carries the pompom. To finish, you seam up the back with mattress stitch, so the join disappears into the folds, and attach a fluffy white pompom at the tip. The pattern walks you through every step, including a mattress stitch tutorial and a guide to washing a wool beanie.
What the Santa Hat Knitting Pattern Includes
The Santa Hat Knitting Pattern is written with clear row-by-row instructions only, there is no chart, so you follow along line by line in plain English. Inside you get the full written instructions for the garter brim, the stockinette body, and the shaped crown, a step-by-step mattress stitch tutorial for the back seam, and a short guide to washing and reshaping a wool beanie. It is an instant PDF download in English.
